The 4th studio long-player from inimitable songstress Inga Liljestrom. Recorded with a new band whilst living in France, it has a rockier heart than the noir-inspired electronics of earlier albums. From the frenetic rush of 'The Rain and The Sea' or the chokingly claustrophobic capture-then-release of 'Mascara Black' to the primordial voodoo of 'His Theiving Ways' and the thrilling epic dramatics of closer 'Rama', 'Black Crow Jane also hints at the rustic mountain-top folk pickings of album number five in tender tunes like 'Lovers Gun' and 'Wildest Horse'. It's a see-saw, rocking-horse journey - just like the one that found Inga living outside of Paris far away from her island home. Hold on to your hair, Inga has grown wings, swooped up a kinetic band of European players and together they're on fire leaping off cliffs to the water below.
