about

Daktari 9's dub remix of Junglehammer's James Bond theme Live & Let Die. It features a toast by MC Paul Snatch which is not included on Junglehammer's original reggae remake. This is one of the best 007 film openers of all time, penned by Linda and Paul McCartney and originally recorded by Wings and produced by old Beatle friend George Martin who arranged the orchestral breaks.

Sydney's Junglehammer recorded their version for Groovescooter's Re-fashioned series (Vol 3 'The James Bond Themes Go Undercover) and we asked local dub outfit Daktari 9 to version it. It proved to be one of the most popular tracks on the album. Available on CD, the full album features 13 other Bond remakes including Tina Harrod channeling Bassey for Goldfinger (produced by Snorkel - aka Paul Searles of Skunhour), Gotye and faTT deX remodelling Surrender (KD Lang) and Inga Liljestrom's tender rethink of From Russia With Love.
