about

"If they ever remake Bladerunner, Don Meers is the man for the soundtrack." [David Curry, The Canberra Times]

"Soaring. Sad. Superb." [Hi-Clive, Bartender Mag]

Sample maestro Don Meers' much-lauded first full-length album for Groovescooter, carried some of the jazzy vibes of his debut EP '4.30AM' but was a somewhat darker beast. Like a snaking journey from India's Varanasi (where Meers had also spent time), through cold-war spy movies set behind the Iron Curtain, to Europe's French Qaurters and ultimately pulling into Sydney's own forgotten train yards, it crossed deserts and water with wide-screen electronic brilliance. Conceived overlooking the Redfern train station platform (pictured on the front cover and where he lived at the time), the album was Album Of The Week in Sydney dance bible 3D World and on 2SER 107.3FM, collecting a swag of glowing reviews.

The album was also re-issued as double-CD which included a bunch of remixes of the album's tracks by artists like All India Radio, Gotye, Disjunction Reunion, Robokoneko, Tim Koch, DJ Soup, Groovescooter and Telafonica. The set was entitled 'Track Works'.
