about

A soulful cover of Dragon's 1977 hit 'Get That Jive' originally recorded for Groovescooter's 'Re-fashioned' series, and released on Volume 1.

Version produced by Sydney's Ju Ju Space Jazz / Dan Conway. Lead vocals by Pat Powell. Also features Lee McIver on trumpet and Lara Goodridge (FourPlay) on backing vocals.

Artwork for Re-fashioned Vol 1' was created by Australian designer Jeremy, and came in an expansive booklet produced to coincide with 2001 Australian Fashion Week and included with the album (Groovescooter Records Catalogue: GS004). The booklet was also used to promote/launch Jeremy's new clothing range at fashion week where the album was launched with DJs and live performers.

Nominated for the 2001 Australian Dance Music Awards (Best Compilation), the album received a swag of 5 star reviews, somehow ended up Ministry Magazine's 'Album Of The Month' and was part of an MTV promotion featuring songs from the album performed live at Fox Studios. Pre-dating Like A Version, Volume 2 was also JJJ's Album Of The Week.
